Einige Worgen-Spieler haben ihren eigenen Charakter nicht mehr erkannt, nachdem sie mit Patch 6.0.2 online gegangen sind. Grund war jedoch nicht das neue Charaktermodell, sondern ein Bug der mehrere Texturen durcheinander gebracht hat. Auch wenn es sich um einen kleinen Fehler handelt, war ein Client-Patch statt einem Hotfix notwendig um dieses Problem zu beheben.
Wie Blizzard nun mitgeteilt hat, wurde der genannte Patch heute angewandt. Worgen-Spieler sollten also schauen ob sie ihren Charakter wieder erkennen. Falls nicht, dann könnt ihr euch auch im deutschen WoW Forum darüber beschweren.
Worgen (or Gilnean, if you prefer) characters are pretty unique in that their customization options are linked between each form (Human and Worgen). As work progressed on updated character models for 6.0.2, there was an error in how we numbered the texture files used to set which skin tones are linked between them. Some Worgen players out there are seeing a pretty stark mismatch, which is due to the game simply pointing at the wrong texture file. While it’s a simple error, it does require a client-side change to correct. We’re in the process of working on a client side patch to address this and a few other issues, and we’re working to get that out tomorrow if possible.
The client side patch mentioned in the original post to address the Worgen texture mismatch has been applied.
