Blizzard spricht über WoW-Verkäufe in Australien

Vor einigen Tagen geisterte die Meldung durchs Netz, dass World of Warcraft und andere Spiele in Australien solange nicht verkauft werden dürfen, bis sie über eine entsprechende Alterkennzeichnung verfügen. Nun nimmt Blizzard dazu Stellung und erklärt, dass die Zusammenarbeit mit der Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia sehr gut seien und man immer sichergehen will, dass man sich in den Grenzen australischen Rechts bewege. Das gelte für alle Spiele, inklusive World of Warcraft, welches die ganze Zeit legal in Australien verkauft wurde.

Blizzard Entertainment and its affiliates work very closely with the Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia to ensure that we are in full compliance with Australian law as it relates to the distribution and operation of our games, including World of Warcraft. We’d like to reassure all of our players that World of Warcraft is currently, and has always been, distributed and operated legally in Australia.
